Baking Beans 500g
Baking beans, packaged in 500-gram glass jars. Baking beans are essential for blind baking your creations. But what exactly is blind baking? Blind baking is a method used to prevent a crust from rising. You pre-bake or fully bake the crust, resulting in a crispy base. You do this using these reusable ceramic baking beans. You place them on the crust to be baked (as a kind of support filling); we always recommend placing a layer of baking paper underneath.

Instructions:
1. Roll out the dough (thinly) and line a greased pie dish. Let the sides of the dough hang over the dish. Then, prick several holes in the dough with a fork.
2. Take a piece of baking paper and place it on the dough base.
3. Distribute the baking beans over the baking paper and bake the crust as instructed.
4. Remove the crust from the oven and remove the baking beans using the baking paper.
5. Trim the sides of the baked pie crust. If desired, you can now bake the pie crust a second time in the oven, possibly with a filling.

The big advantage is that the baking beans are reusable! This 500-gram package is enough for a substantial pie.
We recommend handwashing the baking beans only.
