How to use the tagine for the first time

• Submerge the base and lid completely in water for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight
• Remove the tagine and dry it thoroughly
• Rub the inside and outside with (olive) oil
• Always heat the tagine slowly: it cannot withstand temperature shocks

By hand, with warm water, a little dish soap, and a non-metallic brush. Do not leave it soaking in water and allow it to dry completely.
