The importance of tawheed

If we read the Quran attentively and reflect upon it, we establish that the first command given in it is monotheism: the worship of Allah alone, without associating partners with Him. We also discover that the first prohibition defined in it is the prohibition of polytheism.

If Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has decided in His Book to give this subject a privileged and extremely important place, it is with the intention of urging the believing servants to also pay special attention to monotheism, and to guard themselves against polytheism.

Unfortunately, we see that many polytheistic practices are deeply rooted in the mentality and daily life of numerous Muslims. That is why Shaykh 'Abd al-Muhsin al-'Abbad wrote this effective work.
