Semi-glazed Moroccan Tamegrout bowl. Tamegroute is a remote village in the deep Draa Valley, south of Marrakesh. This entirely handmade pottery from the Draa River utilizes the time-honored traditions of the local ancestors. Through a unique artisanal process, Tamegroute is made by only seven workshop families in a small village called Tamegroute, passed down from generation to generation. The unique green hues are created using an ancient mix of natural minerals and elements that remains unchanged. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and possesses its own characteristics and textures formed once fired in the earth kilns. Characteristic of Tamegroute are the famous three marks that appear on each piece as a result of stacking the pottery in the kilns.
Diameter 28 cm and height of 12 cm.
